A high-pressure plunger pump is a commonly used industrial pump that transports liquid through the reciprocating motion of a plunger. This article will introduce the working principle of a high-pressure plunger pump.

A high-pressure plunger pump is a pump that uses the reciprocating motion of a plunger within the pump to create a pressure difference, thereby delivering liquid to a high-pressure pipeline. Its working principle is mainly divided into three stages: suction, compression, and discharge.
First, in the suction stage, the reciprocating motion of the plunger creates a negative pressure area in the pump chamber, causing liquid to be drawn into the pump chamber from the inlet. Then, as the plunger moves forward, the pressure in the pump chamber increases sharply, and the liquid is compressed, thereby forming high pressure. At this time, the valve is closed to prevent liquid backflow, ensuring that the liquid can only flow forward. Finally, as the plunger continues to move forward, the liquid is discharged through the high-pressure pipeline.
The working principle of a high-pressure plunger pump is based on the reciprocating motion of the plunger constantly changing the pressure in the pump chamber, thereby achieving liquid delivery. Due to its high stability and stable output flow rate, the high-pressure plunger pump is widely used in occasions requiring high-precision delivery, such as the chemical, petroleum, and metallurgical industries.
